About Fibreglass Phil
Owner, Phil Bennett (commonly known as "Fiberglass Phil") is a fibreglass (also known as Glass fibre or GRP) moulder based in Hoo, Nr Rochester, Kent, UK. He started working with GRP fibreglass mouldings in 1990 when he brought the moulds for Concorde power boats.
Phil started by renting a small farm unit to store the moulds and to have the facility to produce mouldings. Very quickly the business grew. Phil together with a small workforce of other moulders moved into larger commercial premises and expanded the client base. Fibreglass Phil now produces specialised mouldings from Motorsports (Race car parts), Aviation (Microlights) through to construction mouldings and film and stage props. As a bespoke glass fiber business we aim provide a GRP service for all of our customers to suit their requirements. No glass fibre project is really too small or large we can accomodate any requirement you require!
In 1995 Fibreglass Phil moved into a state of the art moulding factory in Hoo, Nr Rochester, Kent, UK. In order to cope with growing demands. This move also allowed him to focus on growing the variety of fiberglass moulding techniques.
In 2012, as a marketing step LJ Marine decided to rebrand to Fibreglass Phil. This marketing step also makes a lot of sense considering many of our customers have known him as Fiberglass Phil for many years.
